Has it been this long really?

I can't believe I haven't written since May.. even that post hardly had any content to it.
And I'm about to talk in circles on this one.

So here's an update:

I'm in my senior year at ECU, and if you're having a hard time believing this, imagine what I'm feeling. Scared is a good word. I stay really busy with a full course load at school, an internship with Pirate Radio 1250 & 930, internship with WNCT-TV and a job at Pink, A Lilly Pulitzer Signature Store. Mondays and Wednesdays I go to work between 9 and 10 and stay there until about 8, sometimes later. Tuesdays and Thursdays I am in class all day and working until 6 or so.

Lately, I have been in and out of what I call a mid-semester, senior year rut.
I feel like a lot of good things happened to me over the summer and at the beginning of the semester.
And now I feel like I'm not doing anything important.
BUT... That's why I am glad I remembered I have this blog about my mom.
Because, I'm writing all of this down and physically seeing why I need to keep going.
I'm trying to regain focus on everything that's important to me, thankfully, I've got my mama to remind me that MOSTLY everything I do makes her proud.

In the midst of my rut, I've been on a "I want to change the world" kick. Thanks to your movie, Katy Perry.
Tonight at work, I met with the parents of an ECU alumna who died of breast cancer. She was 23 and still in college when she was diagnosed and 26 when she passed away. I read her blog up to her last entry before breast cancer took her life, it was so moving and I beg everyone to read it. It literally has me sitting here wanting to get off the computer and do something epic. Seriously, I could go on and on about this girl. I cannot get her story off my mind. OKAY WHOA, and I'm listening to Pandora, "Island In The Sun" was her favorite song, it just came on!!!!!!

There are lots of things I want to do before I go. Like: tour a winery, talk to a medium, find a man who accepts my quick temper, likes my twin toes and weird ideas, and will order for me (and love me for who I am, obviously), get married in Northwest Christian church, visit another country, own a Louis Vuitton, have babies, meet Katy Perry, have a middle part, get a song on the radio, have a garden full of daisies, live in the country and at the coast, own a weenie dog named "Grandma" and most importantly... make a difference.

Stay positive. Stay positive. Stay positive.

Shoe Shopping

Who loves the shoes my mom is wearing? I do not. She walked around Belk in these Jessica Simpson shoes. And I rolled my ankle a couple of times in the pair I'm wearing. Taylor was supposed to come with us but she was tired from my Uncle being in the hospital so she rested all day!
