Mom goes Downtown!

This past weekend was ECU's parent's weekend and it definitely qualifies as one of the most memorable moments in my college career so far. My MOM, Aunt Al, Uncle Ray, Aunt Nancy (Nanny), and Uncle Joe all came Downtown Greenville. My sorority rented out a bar for a private party and so I invited everyone to come with me.
My family requested beach music/oldies and the DJ played it. They were the first and only ones on the dance floor the entire night. We had SO much fun. All of my sorority sisters and their parents were there and a few of them got out on the dance floor with mom.

..And that last text is her saying she is getting on the bar in 15 minutes, don't worry.. It never happened but she DID grab a bouncer to dance with her.

Big news to share.. Lots to catch up on!

Yes, the above statement is true.
Mama actually filled out the application for me and it finally has come in!

As soon as I got to Greenville, Aunt Al took me to the ATM machine to show me how to use it and then later that evening I swiped it for the first time at Bojangles.. I had really put a lot of thought into where I used it for the first time at and because I really love Bojo's, I found it appropriate.

Tonight, mama said she wanted to take the license plate piece off the front of her car but dad told her she couldn't so she said she was going to get one that says "LUV2SWIM" ............ My mama doesn't swim.

Updates on my life.. (I know this blog is about my mom but my family reads this and needs updates so if you only like my mom and not my life you should probably stop reading here.)
My house is coming together now, I have a cool porch swing that has been painted a green color, it matches my front door! It was my neighbor's but they couldn't get it to stay in their porch ceiling so we're using it. I'm in the process of painting my dining room, it was the ugliest brown. So, when I finish I promise to post pictures of the house!
Hurricane Irene came and every house around me had damage done to it. My welcome mat and trashcan blew away but I ran out in the street to get them and that was about all that happened. I didn't have power for an entire day and nearly starved to death but the power came back on and I cooked literally everything in my freezer. Yeah, I cook now, gas stove/oven.. go me.
I will update more tomorrow and within the next week on my mom. I'm at home and she's already acting crazy again so I'll be sure to post more! Goodnight!
