I GOT A JOB!

Yes, I finally have a job and I am so excited! Where am I working?

At the Lilly Pulitzer store here in Greenville! I called to tell my mom and the first words out of her mouth were "You're gonna be broke."

Glad we could share this excitement together.

Can I Keep Him?

So, not only is my mom's memory and hearing fading.. Her vision is too.

I've been home for Fall Break all weekend and had some time to bond with mom. We went shopping and stuff on Saturday, out to lunch and dinner, etc. etc. Yesterday she had to go back to work so I was home by myself all day and when I pulled in the neighborhood I saw a "puppy". So, I pulled my car up next to it and took a picture of it, then sent it to mom. I sent the picture at 1:54pm and she got home around 5:30pm and said "Oh, you texted me!" .. Just goes to show how often she looks at her phone. Here is the picture I sent her:

With it I said: "I found a puppy!!!! Can I keep him!!!???"

..So, mom is standing beside me as she reads this texts and she gets her glasses on and is looking at the picture going "Oh my gosh! Where was he? He's cute! What kind of puppy is it!? What did you do with him?"

CLEARLY that is not a puppy, that is a possum and they are gross.

Mom is losing her mind.

Today my mom asked me if I was saying she was crazy, and the answer is yes.. I was saying you're crazy.

I have been telling my mom things lately and she does not remember anything I said, or anything SHE said. She swears she never told me stuff and that I never mentioned other things. She is now saying that she is going to start taking notes on our conversations and in all honesty mom, I really hope you do because I am beginning to lose my own mind.

And, stop sending me duplicate text messages! I get them the first time. :)
